Military Space-A Travel
One of the benefits of serving in the United States Armed Forces is the opportunity to travel on military transport aircraft and military charter flights. This is what is known as "Space-A" or space available travel.
Most of the military aircraft you'll fly on will be United States Air Force, the Navy has some transport aircraft but getting aboard one of these is rare. Sometimes you can fly on contract or charter flights if there are empty seats.
Space-A is great but it's not suitable for travellers with fixed travel dates or pre-booked holidays. Only duty or emergency leave passengers can count on first-day departure.
ZocoTravel can't arrange Space-A travel for you. Only the passenger services department at the Air Mobility Command or Naval air bases can help you. Contact your nearest base for more information.
For information about flights on civilian airlines you should check out our 'getting there' guides for each destination in our travel portfolio.
The Air Force has issued the following statement online: "The best resource is to contact the nearest military passenger terminal. The terminal staff will have the most current information. If you plan to travel Space-A, contact the passenger terminal(s) where you plan to depart for current flight information and assistance."
